What are the driving directions to Ocean Vista?
Driving directions may be obtained by visiting our contact page and using the interactive Google Map present on the page.
I don't have a car. How can I get there without one?
The Hampton Jitney stops just a few doors down the road; the LIRR stops at Amagansett and Montauk and taxis are available. Car rental agencies will deliver and pick-up a car for you at the resort.
If I came by bus or train and do not rent a car, what do I do about meals?
There are 2 restaurants within approximately ½ mile serving lunch and dinner. Goldberg's Bagels is just across the road for take-out breakfast and lunch.
May I bring my dog/cat?
No, pets are not permitted at Ocean Vista.
Do I need to bring my own beach chair and umbrella?
No, courtesy lounges are on our beach and beach umbrellas are available.
Can I bar-b-que and eat outside?
Yes, there is a bar-b-que area and picnic tables available for guest use. Just bring the burgers and the coals.
Are all of the rooms the same?
No, some have a queen bed and a convertible sofa, some have 2 queen beds, there are 1 and 2 bedroom units, each room has been decorated differently by the unit owner, some are upstairs with a sun deck, some are downstairs with a little garden and outdoor eating area.
What water sports are available?
You can swim in our beautiful heated indoor pool, can boogie board in our waves at our private beach. Our beach has fun breaks to surf in and world class point breaks can be found at Ditch Plains, home of championship surfing contests, just minutes away. Kayaks, bicycles and wind surfers can be rented in town.
What other sports are available?
We have our own tennis court. Horseback riding and golf are all available nearby. Hike on nature and dune trails.
I am not into sports, what else is there to do?
All summer long there are arts and crafts festivals and harbor festivals. Visit museums, galleries, antique shops, windmills. Don't forget the famous Montauk Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in NYS, authorized by George Washington in 1792. Visit East Hampton which has the most trendy and sophisticated New York City shops and a wide variety of local shops. The area is a a shopping and arts paradise.
What special events are there?
The Hamptons Classic Horse Show, the Hamptons Film Festival and other events are happening all summer long.
